New Law Could Cut Taxpayers' Elections Costs If Voters Go Paperless

04/16/2011 - The Ventura County elections office could save hundreds of thousands of dollars by limiting the number of paper mailings to voters and moving them online, a study shows.

Commissioned by the Pew Center on the States, the study says California counties are still distributing voter information the way they did 50 years ago—through costly paper mailings.
