Election Initiatives works closely with states to improve the administration of American elections. More than 35 states partner with us on the Voting Information Project to provide official election information to voters using the latest technology. We are also working with several states to upgrade voter registration systems so that they are more accurate, cost-effective, and efficient. Pew has also helped advance legislation in states with significant military populations to enact reforms that better protect the voting rights of those serving in the armed forces and of civilians abroad.
