Incumbent AG, Comptroller Lose in Primaries

Wisconsin 's attorney general, Peg Lautenschlager, and Maryland 's comptroller and former governor, William Donald Schaefer, were two big-name incumbents who were defeated Tuesday (Sept. 12) as nine states held primaries to decide candidates for the Nov. 7 election. New Yorkers Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo advanced in their races for governor and attorney general respectively. Here is a rundown of stories on state-level races:
